hi guys thanks for your replies, he eats and drinks fine- better than fine really. hes always been like this just really quiet, obviously he has his crazy moment and has a mad hour but a lot of the time he is quiet. he has been the vets a couple of times cause he had a dicky tummy and he said he is a lovely healthy dog

Cody is coming up to 6months old and hes always been a pretty quiet puppy. He gets excited when people come to visit or if he sees another dog or people while were out but other than that he looks like he'd cry if he could. Hes so quiet, he doesnt jump around like other puppies just lays down all the time. I am struggling with his toilet training still so have to get up during the night to let him out to try and get him in the habit, when i come downstairs he doesnt even lift his head up and when i open the back door he wont get up i have to physically lift him up and usher him outside when he goes out he has his head hanging and his ears down. He looks so sad, im worried that he is unhappy, i work part time mon-fri, leave the house at 8am, nip home at 2pm for half an hour before i go pick my daughter up from school and get back about 4pm so im concerned hes unhappy about being left alone or that hes just generally unhappy.

I have a 5 month male husky called Cody and my boyfriend has his sister Shelby. Karl has been away for a week and i have had Shelby at my house, shes been great company for Cody although they jump all over each other and bite each other- just playing tho. Cody is a very quiet laid back dog where as Shelby is very bouncy and full on. Ive loved having the pair of them here and am now in 2 minds whether to get another husky as company for Cody! In the back of my mind i know for the second this is just a dream as i dont drive and my boyfriend lives 40 mins drive away so its hard enough getting there with Cody when we visit but i really really want another!

my dog also poops loads a day and has done since i got him at 7 weeks, he has a large tin of meat per day- half in the morning and half about 6pm.

my boyfriends mum has a toy poodle too and he was completely clean in no time at all! i have heard that huskys are hard to get clean, harder than ur normal everyday dog. thanks guys i'll stick with it and hopefully he'll grow out of it soon!

i'll get that alarm set again and get back on with the training, i have got both of the huskies this week while my boyfriend is away so i'll see if i can make some progress with her too

i take away his water about 9pm and he always goes out before i goto bed. i used to have a crate when i first got him but he was forever pooping in it and her had terrible runs for a long time til we realised he cant have dry food as it gives him the runs so while he was in his crate he was jumping about in it and i got fed up of constantly cleaning the cage and bathing him. now i dont have the room for it either. when he goes toilet outside i always praise him and make a fuss, when he does it in the house i point at it and tell him 'no naughty boy' he sulks off and knows he has done wrong however i didnt know about not letting him see me clean it up. i work during the day, i usually leave the house at 8am and get home for 2pm, my friend has an akita - she works the same hours and her dog is totally clean day and night. im desperate to break this habit.

I have a 5 month old male husky. I am really struggling with him toilet training, when we are at home and the back door is open he will go straight outside to goto the toilet however if the door is shut he will not wait and just goes on the floor. Also during the night he will not hold it in, i have tried settling my alarm every couple of hours but i feel i am killing myself and getting no where! He doesnt sleep in a crate, i have a utility room on the back of my house where he sleeps. Please help me out guys, i love this dog so much but im not sure i can stand this problem much longer! My boyfriend has Codys sister and he is also having the same problems. thanks in advance
