MY mom has a male husky and just found a female husky but isn’t 2 yet, will they lose interest till they mate?

Can anyone tell me if my moms male husky will lose interest in the female husky until they mate? They live both in the same space. She will be 2 In December .

Is the male intact?? If yes then no every heat he will want to mate even after the first time...

Yes he is. But they live in the same space. Will they want to mate when she’s at that age

He will want to mate when she’s in season, whether she is 2 or not. Consider all the huskies in rescues before bringing more puppies into the world!

It would be worth getting them fixed , so many Huskies in rescue and without relevant health tests (hip/elbow and eye scores) it would be too risky to breed them
