Elyse
You know when you want to watch a tv episode or a program online, but the website doesn't let you because you're not in Canada, the UK, or the US (or wherever)? There's a solution that easy and free! Watch this video, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayFIL1CEbXI Steps from the video summarized below (Directions are for Firefox users): 1. Go to http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy-list/ 2. Sort by country. For example, if it says you can't watch a program because your not in Canada, pick Canada from the country list. 3. Pick a proxy. You want one that's updated frequently and preferably has a high speed and connection time. 4. Copy your chosen proxy to your clipboard. (Ctrl-C for Windows. Apple/Cmd-C for Mac) 5. Go to your Firefox's preferences. 6. For Windows: Click on Advanced. For Mac, click on Advanced, look under Network, then go to Settings. 7. For Windows and Mac: Paste the I.P address in the appropriate proxy-type box. Type in the proxy's port into the port box. 8. Hit Ok/Apply if there. If not, just close the settings window. That's it! When you're finished, make sure to check the box in that window that says: "Use System Proxy Settings" to use your own IP address again.
