Siberian Shadow Posted April 22, 2012 Report Share Posted April 22, 2012 Hi, Anyone have any ideas how I can turn off my HP notebook,when I click shut down ,nothing happens.I can hibernate it,but nothing else.There is no power button,but a sliding switch that does nothing? Huskies On The Go Posted April 22, 2012 Report Share Posted April 22, 2012 Take the battery out and put it back in, that's what I had to do with mine, but it wasn't a HP it was a MSI and that's what I'm using now. Only thing that happened,was instead of hibernating,like I usually do when I take the dogs out,last night I clicked shutdown with everything still open! Huskies On The Go Posted April 22, 2012 Report Share Posted April 22, 2012 I have windows 7 starter that is what comes when you buy a small laptop like mine, but before you go to bed just take out the battery.
