kellystewart
Hey guys, Anyone got a 4 (or more) stake out line they don't use anymore? Pennies waiting
husky princess
you can make them easily - plastic coated wire (about £3 a metre in B&Q) with the special D clips which they sell. some stakes and trigger hooks or carabinas (altho they're dearer but more secure)
kellystewart
I was actually thinking about that...but wasn't sure what hardware I would need as how would I attach the drop lines from the main line? They need to be set distances and I couldn't think of a way of doing that so they don't just all slide along the main line
husky princess
well what we did was make seperate ones rather than in a line as i prefered the idea of being able to move them about and plus i hate it when dogs are staked out and they are there for hours and that is then their toilet area...urgh! i made them about 1.5m long and it is secured by a special D clasp which is sold alongside the plastic coated cable, this is secured onto a 'P' shaped stake (like a needle shape). at the end of the cable i have secured a carabina as trigger hooks are not safe enough for storm. If you go into B&Q and ask for plastic coated cable im sure they should be able to help you. i will have a look on their website and see if i can find a pic for you. kellystewart
Ohh one question about the D thingies....are you looping the wire rope and then placing the 2 ends back through it and tightening the bolts? I can't work out how else it would work ha
