Amanda Fodrey Posted May 18, 2020 Report Share Posted May 18, 2020 Hello, I have a 2 1/2 yr old husky. A few months ago I noticed a circular bald spot on her rear while I was grooming her. The guard hairs are still there but her under coat is gone. I thought that it was irritation from her vaccines and it would grow back but it hasn't yet. I haven't noticed that the spot has gotten bigger though. The skin it a bit dry but not red, inflamed or itchy. You have to lift the guard hairs to see the bald spot, but you can notice that the hair is thinner there while looking at her. Now, a few months later, she is blowing her coat again and she has another, almost identical spot on the other side of her rear. What do you think it is? I was afraid of alopecia x but the skin isn't black. And the rest of her coat is full except for those two spots. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
