kenobi7910 Posted December 1, 2009 Report Share Posted December 1, 2009 For my Spitz I use a head collar (gentle leader) and a retractable leash at a fixed length when walking in the city, when we hit the trails I switch the retractable over to her standard collar and unlock the retractable. I was wondering if I am using a martingale/half-choke with my husky, if it's safe to use with the retractable leash UNLOCKED? I don't want any harsh snapping motions or slip-outs. Thanks!
