Colorado Husky Family Posted January 1, 2022 Report Posted January 1, 2022 Our husky is almost 13 years old. She's in amazing physical health and still acts like a puppy on the regular - loves long walks, does the playing with us thing (bowing, etc) and loves to talk to us. Lately she has been acting very strange. She sits right outside the sliding glass door staring in but won't come in when we open the door. Instead she cries and backs away. She has never sat outside the door before. She usually sleeps under our deck and comes knocking when she wants to come in. But never just sat there and certainly not refusing to come in. We have also heard her under the deck crying. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and is very energetic on walks. Could it just be that she is old and nearing end of life? We have heard that huskies often go quickly after seeming perfectly fine.
wolfpup Posted January 2, 2022 Report Posted January 2, 2022 I think I would get her checked out at the vets - just for peace of mind. Has anything changed - or happened in the house (moved furniture?).
BingBlaze n Skyla Posted January 2, 2022 Report Posted January 2, 2022 Any sudden change in behaviour should be checked by a vet , make sure they do a full blood work up aswell
