Guy Posted July 2, 2021 Report Share Posted July 2, 2021 Hello I have a 7-year-old husky and I need any information that I can get on zinc deficiencies and how to treat them. She started scratching off the fur around her eyes and muzzle a couple of months ago. I took her to my vet and after tests and a couple of weeks she is convinced that it is a zinc deficiency that is common in Huskies. My vet has had her on zinc tablets since it started and it actually looks like it's getting worse I now have to keep a cone on her so she doesn't scratch it throughout the day and when I take her back into the vet for her checkups the vet says she thinks it's getting better but it clearly isn't.
