Dog Lover
Tomorrow we are meeting our potential new baby. She is 5 years old. I am a little nervous of the process as she is being brought to meet our other dogs. We have a pekinese who is 3 and two toy poms one of which is 10 and the other is 12. All my dogs are male and pretty chilled. I am not sure what to expect bringing in a female husky. Any advice on what to expect tomorrow with the meet and greet and what I should be aware of. Thanks so much
BingBlaze n Skyla
Are you meeting on neutral ground ? Somewhere both your dogs and the rescue have never been before ?
Dog Lover
The rescue center is bringing my husky to my home and I am assuming the introduction will be done in my garden as i have a big property.
robke
As Nix says I would do the intro on neutral ground where nothing belongs to you dogs that could cause tension, for example a toy/chew that's out there and the new dog will go for it and yours will defend it then a fight can happen just like that... Dog Lover
The introduction went really well and we officially have a new fur baby. Meet Lola.
