Onyx98
Hello everyone, today we had our 2 year old male husky neutered, ( he was a rescue dog and we adopted him a couple weeks ago), unfortunately the extremely rude Vet didn’t give us any information regarding the healing process and do’s and don’ts with walking etc and the differences with pretty much everything during his recovery, I’ve done some research and have got some information but would like to get some information from the forum, from personal experiences with the process and the things you had the change during there recovery. Thank you!
robke
walking for a few days keep it to a minimum 5 mins at the time or so...no jumping up till the stitches are out... keep an eye out on the stitches and the area in general so healing goes ok... and when everything is finished ... seek out a new vet... 2Huskyfun
I would keep him down LOL for at least three days. No running or playing. Be careful of him jumping even on the couch. Obviously no licking. When you start walking him. Very short low energy walks. You do not want massive amounts of blood flow going to the area. Make sure it doesn’t turn bright red or pus.
