Emiiku
Hey all! I’ve been wondering if this rust color is normal for huskies? He’s been licking his mouth a lot and the rust is staining the carpet. Any one have advice on what it could be? I hope it isn’t something too serious [emoji22] We just got all clear after his car accident a month ago. BingBlaze n Skyla
If he's licking a lot it could just be saliva staining , my girl drools in her sleep so one side of her mouth is redder than the other Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
2Huskyfun
I would go back to the vet Just for a quick recheck for infection. 50/50 solution of apple cider vinegar and water. Wipe the area with that and see if it helps. If no improvement in 3 days I would definitely go to the vet.
2Huskyfun
O and regular white vinegar will get that out of the carpet. Again 50/50 with water so it doesn’t bleach the carpet. Spray, work it in a little, spray again, and then let it set for a few and then pat it with a washcloth or paper towels to soak up the rest. It will fade in a day or two. Stinks at first but the smell will fade. Great for potty accidents.
Emiiku
Thanks a bunch! We’re gonna try to use the 50/50 solution on his mouth. He does drool quiet a bit and he’s been sleeping on the carpet recently. Usually he sleeps on the wood floor so we’ve never seen stains [emoji44]Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
2Huskyfun
If it is normal to droll then I wouldn’t worry. Maybe getting cooler and is why he is moving to the carpet.
