Hey not been on here for a long while.  Been busy Training, starting up my Dog walking Business (solo Or family doggos Only) And Running a dog training school.  I have missed this lovely forum.  So thats the happy news.  Unfortunately, if that's the correct wording our super star best Husky boy in the world has lung cancer, but has battled the odds since April this year to still be here with us (ain't that just the stubborn Husky way!!) Has anybody else had or currently going through terminal cancer with their handsome/beautiful Husky. X

So sorry about your boy. Tough Husky...

I haven't personally. However, (HERE in Nevada) The all new rave that dog owner's are swearing by for their babies with Cancer are swearing by is CBD. It's legal here and I believe if you do your research there are places on line to order it.

I personally use it and have started supplementing my pups with it.

Keep strong.

Welcome Back!! Aww, your NOAH is absolutely stunning!! I'm so sorry to hear he has lung cancer. Hopefully, your Vet has him on some meds like Tramadol for any pain and meds to help NOAH breath a lot easier.
I know Vets some times give animals steroids like oral Prednisone to slow down cancer.
I would definitely try the CBD like 2HuskyFun mentioned. CBD comes in capsules (buy it on Amazon) or CBD is also in Hemp Oil and can be given orally.
The main thing is to keep loving on your precious baby!![emoji191][emoji182] Keep NOAH "moving" on short walks if he still seems energetic. Make sure he's not in pain. (Dogs cannot tell us when they hurt so pay attention to his "body language." For example, does his demeanor seem to change like he looks depressed or can you see a happy smiling face lit up which would show he's feeling good. I.e., does he tire easily or does he seem pretty active which would show he's happy & feels good.)
Here are my experiences with cancer in dogs. Our 14yr old Chow/Samoyed APOLLO had brain cancer. We didn't know he had cancer until he had his first seizure at age 13. Then, his fourth & last seizure is what took him sadly. Also, my Dad's 6yr old Black Lab MINDY had a very painful, aggressive bone cancer, the worst kind of cancer. She became in horrific pain so it was her time to go. (With APOLLO[emoji304] & MINDY[emoji304], we know we all gave them the most wonderful, "spoiled," happy & loving life on earth!! They both knew how much they were loved. That's an awesome feeling knowing we did our very best.)
With NOAH, I'm going to pray[emoji120] very deeply for him to be able to live a long, long time feeling great, happy and loved!!
Don't forget to get CBD capsules to try helping NOAH.
Please keep us posted on how he's doing.

P.S. I believe the CBD is good for pain & inflammation, arthritis, dry skin, etc. I just started taking it myself (pure Hemp Oil).emoji4.png

I am not 100% on this but... I think Hemp and CBD are different. I never have tried Hemp but heard good things.

Thank you everyone... we have discussed CBD with the specialists and they can't recommend we use it as it has not been approved in this country.  However they didn't rule it out.  We have Loxicom for him, but when we give it to him he looks so dejected we are not sure if its making him feel better or worse.  He has had Chemotherapy which has stopped anymore tumors but two of the Tumors grew, one by 1cm and the smaller one by 2.5cm.  He is now on Chlorambucil tablets 2 per day.  At present he is still enjoying life, happy to go on walks, play with Bella and the boys in short bursts of speed.

He loves training and is at his most animated when he goes to class bless him.  Ha ha he Husky talks all over the trainer when she speaks.  The vets say we are very lucky for him to be doing so well, but given the lung capacity of a Husky even with 50% of his lungs taken up with Tumor he still can breath well with the other 50% as long as he takes it easy.  Will keep you updated on how he is doing,  if we can make a year after diagnosis we will certainly have been blessed.  However we are realistic and if he shows signs of depression or severe physical discomfort we will not let him suffer.

I belong to a few cbd forums  (very successfully treating my epileptic husky with cbd only)   The only legally obtainable cbd oil for cancer (in the UK) that I have heard of that was actually recommended by a vet to one member was  the BLACK from SimplyCBD.co.uk.     If you do go down the cbd route you must leave at least 2 hours between any medication and the cbd.  Start out slowly with one drop per day for the first week, then 2 etc until you see a difference in pain levels etc.    I can get you in touch with a medical cannabis maker here in the UK  -  who can make oils to order for different conditions   (not cheap - but her reviews are superb)  -  if interested please message me.

The 'cannot recommend because not licenced/approved'  (or similar) is a standard response  -  cbd IS legal and recognised as having real benefits for dogs and humans alike.   No problem if you don't want to go that route though  ....................  really love your furbaby and made his life wonderful.       xxx

I'm very sorry to hear about this. I've only ever encountered this kind of illness once in my life, and it was a husky girl who was only three years old, but she was already ill, you know, at such a young age. The owner of this dog used https://www.healthcanal.com/best-cbd-oil/dogs in order to ease the time she had left. Unfortunately, this disease takes absolutely everyone and everything in its path and medicines for this have not yet been invented, but it's a pity. It seems to me that many huskies would help, as well as other breeds of dogs

I'm sorry for the dog. The street cat was very sick and I started treating her with cannabis oil. I didn’t believe that CBD oil could remove the tumor from this cat, but I continued to monitor the cat and gave her a few drops of this oil every day. I also bought a cannabis cream and rubbed it into the swollen areas. So don't give up and heal your pets! The cat is fine and healthy.
