Abbie
So my husband came home the other night with a puppy. He told me it was a husky and we’ve been falling in love with it, and now I’m wondering if it truly is a husky. He seems to small for an 8 week old husky. I have been looking at other photos of husky puppies and I grew up with a husky as a kid, even my husband had one when he was single. So I think he just fell in love with it and bought it without really thinking lol. Anyways, we are going to keep it either way I’m just curious what it might be. I think he is a pomsky personally. We have been planning on buying a husky puppy for awhile. We already chose a breeder that somebody recommended us, but we have this little guy now. So any help would be great from you guys!m

Markie
No we got vaccination records but my husband just noticed that there’s a good chance that its fake [emoji42]Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app Your dog isn't purebreed no good quality breeder gives away a husky without registered papers. It's a mix it's either a Pomsky or some other husky breed with smaller breed. I'm happy you have him. I would take the puppy to your vet and see what they say. They won't know the breeds so don't ask that. Just get the puppy a check up. Show them the vaccine records and see what they say. Some breeders do vaccines themeselves so could be real. Luna-tic
That really doesn’t sound the best way to buy a puppy! He’s very young looking too, good breeders don’t let their pups go until they are around 12 weeks, that gives them time to socialise and learn a few manners. I can’t decide whether to be angry that you’ve encouraged what sounds like some moron exploiting dogs for profit or glad that at least one puppy has been “rescued” and will have a good home. I really hope that your puppy is healthy, those sort of folk don’t give a damn about hygiene or proper food and care for the bitches, more often than not the pups can also be sick. I’d go with the suggestion that you have it Vet checked, sooner rather than later. As for him being obedient at a few weeks old, well, if he’s got any husky in him I reckon that could well change. Good luck with him, he looks proper cute. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Huskys At Play
It is fine to get a puppy at 8 weeks of age as you did. You just would not want to get one any younger than that. He does not look full husky at all in the photos. But photos can be distorted. Yes, as Markie mentioned, some breeders do their own vaccinations but that does not take the place of a veterinarian check which should have happened before you got your puppy. Hopefully your husband didn't spend to much. I personally am against contributing to these types of back yard breeders (If this is the case here) as it tells them they sold that litter they can sell more so they keep doing it. But on the other hand, these puppies they have brought into this world need homes now. You are kind of in a tough spot because I am sure you are attached by now. I would definitely take him to a vet and have him checked out. Give him lots of love and cuddles. He is a cutie!!! 💕💖 And send pics so we can watch him grow 😊
ARMANI & ALINAH
CONGRATULATIONS ABBIE with your beautiful handsome puppy!!I don't believe there is a right or wrong way to buy puppies. People buy puppies because they fall in love with them. I think they did great finding a gorgeous puppy they love!!Puppies come into this world one way or another. Most breeders are totally official & go by proper rules of breeding. However, there are those breeders that are unofficial. I know they would not encourage exploiting dogs for profit with buying this puppy. No need for judgment/anger...wipe the slate clean. Stay positive.🤗I'm so happy for you ABBIE, your husband, and your most beautiful, adorable puppy ever!![emoji171][emoji92][emoji252][emoji179]***WELCOME ABBIE & PUPPY***~ALL THINGS ARE PAWSIBLE~~ANGIE, ARMANI & ALINAH~

Good luck with him, he looks proper cute. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Hygiene wise when we got him he was pretty filthy I’m pretty sure they been keeping him outside or in a dirty unsanitary crate. Here’s the thing though the guy was selling the puppies by a store and my husband pass by them but didn’t think anything at first then once he got out of the store he saw that the guy only had like 3 puppies left. So my husband thought they were cute and got one. We have been looking for a husky and we were planning on buying a different one that was for sure a husky and everything but we ended up with this one and were quite happy with him. So I think whether my husband got one or not those puppies would’ve been sold by other people and honestly I’m glad this one ended up with us instead of someone else. We’re taking him to the vet, he’s getting his shots. I feel bad for him since I do feel like your definitely right they don’t care about the puppies at all but honestly this probably isn’t the sellers first litter and this one probably isn’t going to be his last. I’ve also have trained lots of dogs and teach them manners I’ve never trained a husky though and I know there definitely harder but I’m excited for this challenge. Thank you for the luck. ARMANI & ALINAH
You are very welcome ABBIE!!🤗If your puppy is a Husky/Pomeranian mix, what a gorgeous mix!! Your puppy will probably learn training and things just as fast as a Husky purebred...and probably won't be as stubborn as a Husky LOL!! (Suggestion: You guys could get a second puppy that is a Siberian Husky and have 2 puppies to grow up together!!) But I truly love your new puppy!!
