Wayne Dixon and Koda walk for Charity

On the 1st of February 2016, Wayne and his dog Koda will be setting off from the Lancashire coast to walk the whole coast of Britain.
They will be walking constantly over a 1 to 2 year period. Wayne is doing the walk in memory of his late father John L Dixon who suffered from Bipolar disorder for many years & he passed away in September 2012.
Wayne had a tough time since his fathers passing and ha...s now found himself in a position to achieve a life long ambition, he is using the walk as a healing process and an opportunity to raise money and awareness for the charity Mind with the aim of improving services & peoples attitudes towards people who fall vulnerable within the community.

Koda - Wayne's partner is crime is a beautiful Northern Inuit Dog, that John Dixon (Wayne's father) bought 10 days before he died in 2012.

Koda was 7 months old, confused & very hard work Wayne found the inuit society on the net & found the original breeder,& koda's dog family.
They were brilliant, gave a lot of support, training & opened us up to a network of lovely caring dog owners. Wayne really struggled with Koda for the first couple of months & wouldn't have been able to manage if it wasn't for the people linked to the society. All costs for rehoming, foods, petrol, transport,etc come from the pockets of volunteers. Wayne wants to say a big thank you to the society. So he hopes that raising a thousand pound can be the start of a money bank for the society.


Anyone can join Wayne on his walk to hear of his experiences, offer him a bed for the night, or a hot drink and butty!
However as he is walking - he aims to entertain himself by cleaning up! He will be litter picking along the way and encourages people to join him and help clean up their local areas!
