problems with old laptop

Recommended Posts

Hi I haven't been on much lately as every time I switch on my laptop it keeps telling me I have very low memory (system memory) I spend more time doing clean ups than any actual time doing anything else.

I have removed pictures and documents but still no better. the hard drive still has over 100GB available. Is this possible to fix or do I buy a new laptop.

could be one of your Ram memory sticks is faulty

or you have some piece of software that runs in the background that is hogging your system resources.

(some anti-virus programs are notorious for this)

The laptop is no more. A work colleague of hubby's had a look and tried to wipe it and reinstall windows but a virus prevented it being totally wiped. Gave up and bought a tablet instead. Thanks for the input though.
