Guinnessman
Work has been a 'mare since camp. Up and down the M6, culminating in an [expletive] crypto locker attack on our school last week. Finally thought we solved it on Saturday and the blighter rears Its head again yesterday. Many files lost. Many upset students. Many computers scanned. Many beers drank. Think we nailed it now. Guinnessman
Sure it's sorted now. (Said that Saturday) Needs to be. Meeting builders tomorrow to discuss defects on our learning centre. Feeling we will disagree. Week of fighting ransom ware, now a week fighting builders. At least I can speak 'builder'.
PaulG
you need to educate people that when sent files that they check file properties to see if it is a .exe and if it is perma delete it also to avoid emails that send you to a link with a captcha screen I do not think any antivirus right now will stop them also offline off system backups are great I being extremely paranoid have Never touch wood caught a virus I have over the years been given floppies, Cd's, zip disks and dvd's with a virus from friends a few times thankfully my paranoia has caught and protected me
