Guinnessman
Logan was a bit lethargic last night, over night he had spectacular diarrhoea in the lounge, probably just before 6am. More diarrhoea on his walk this morning at 7.30. Left him (as normal) from 8.30 till 1 and he really wanted to go out in the garden, went several times and hadn't eaten breakfast. Left from 2pm till 4.30 and same again when home. Seems fine now. Not unusual not to eat his breakfast, breathing fine and drinking water. A wasp just flew in and a light bulb went off in my head. Before last nights walk, I found a very large dead Bee in the hall. Set me thinking. Checked him all over and can find no sign of a sting, no swelling etc. Called the vet just now and they had not heard of that kind of reaction, just advised to keep close eye on him. On last nights walk, he did eat something, not sure what it was, but def. not chicken bones or anything, so could be that. Also it has been really hot here for a couple of days and he is blowing his coat at the moment. Not long after we got him last at the end of March, he did have an upset stomach as he blew his coat at the time put it down to settling in. I thought I'd run this past you guys as vets are not specialists and the knowledge here is immense.
Emma
When Bear got stung last year her entire muzzle and eyelids swelled up to rediculous proportions, she couldn't even open her eyes due to the swelling. It took about a week of antihistamines to bring the swelling down properly. My baby had a head like a balloon!
Guinnessman
Must have been really worrying Emma, no swelling for Logan, but you can't help but worry. Easy walk tonight me thinks and see how he is.
Emma
It was pretty scary, I was worried her tongue would swell but thankfully it didn't. Fingers crossed for Logan, hope he feels more himself soon. Xxx
Mazz
Odd that a bee sting would cause the potty issues (can't spell diarrhea), but suppose it's possible. Zoya ate a killer hornet a few years ago and it messed her digestive system pretty good. Maybe there were two bees and Logan ate one. Just thinking out loud. Guinnessman
Who knows what is was. He was pretty chipper on his walk tonight, met and played with friends, probably nothing. Needed a new lounge carpet anyway.
Sarah
Who knows what is was. He was pretty chipper on his walk tonight, met and played with friends, probably nothing. Needed a new lounge carpet anyway. Glad he's perked up - maybe as it's been warm again today it's made him more lethargic?
