mindym09
Hello! I'm new to the forum so bare with me? I have an 11 week old husky pup. He's been doing pretty good as far as going to the bathroom when we take him out. We had our first snow yesterday, and I cannot get him to poop outside. I use the same commands and he just won't budge. He pees in the snow just fine. What can I do? Hes been pooping in the house instead.. BingBlaze n Skyla
What do u do with the poop he does inside? I would chuck it out in the snow so his scent is out there , at 11 weeks old tho he's still learnin and even tho he's a husky he will still be feeling the cold too atm till he gets his adult coat it's just about patience really , also if u can try and clear some snow away so he has a clear area where he can toilet
NOBELHOWLUC49
and . New happenings in his world. Keep taking him out, clean up the poop inside with no fuss just make sure it is very clean. He'll get there again.

syne7
Try digging out a hold through the snow to the grass. use the same hole and let it gradually get filled with snow over time. He should queue on the location once he learns that snow can cover the same spot (and its the same spot). Dogs don't always generalize well and young dogs have a bit more difficulty with generalizing. Which is why is possible for your dog to sit at home on command perfectly, but somehow can't do it at your friends house at the park. It takes a bit of proofing. It also, just be an uncomfortable experience for the pup.
