Marc Posted December 29, 2014 Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 Hi all, Just to let you know that as the forum is reaching a million posts we have got to the point where its a good idea to start thinking about archiving. This is essentially a process of moving posts to another archive table in the database to free up the more recent and relevant stuff to be accessed more quickly. The topics themselves will still be accessable but you wont be able to reply to them. Dont worry its not something brutal, these are topics which have not been replied to for 3 years that will be picked up by the archiver and will make search, and just general accessing of the forum much faster. You will not see the speed increase overnight guys. This process will take days to complete as it processes around 250 every 15 mins so as to not break the forum whilst it is in progress.
