My Husky does not like being carried, I use it as last resort to steer her away from rebellion and it works like magic.

It's almost like it embarrases her. 

She is 8 months and heavy. I have little kids 6, 6 and 10 and Sky loves to jump ( Playing actively) but she knows she should not be doing that as the weight is too much for the kids to handle. She is very friendly and compassionate. When she does not listen. I basically pick her up and hold her for a while put her down and she is golden behavior afterwards. lol

Omg! I recently got a husky puppy and he does not like being picked up he will tolerate it but he always at some puts tries to wiggle put of my arms! He's one month old and 2 weeks I usually pick him up when bring him inside
