Dont know what the problem was, but seems it was a serious one at the datacenter in which the server is located. Not as of yet had any official confirmation that its back online, but everything seems to be working by the looks of it. Don't need to, I have web montoring, an app on my phone, email alerting, and a custom made program on both PC at here and at work ..
