at what age does a husky STOP growing?

Recommended Posts

Sorry - there's no easy answer to this one as different dogs develop at different speeds. We had one boy who was more or less full grown at 6 months. By 8 months he was winning adult working groups at dog shows. Our first sibe, Merlin, on the other hand, was a scrawny teenager until he was about two and a half, when he finally filled out and looked adult.

I agree with raindog it can depend on how they develop. Gizmo is nearly 12months old now and Marley and Bandit is 7 months old and they are all the same height. The only differences are:

Marley is much broader around the shoulders and face than Gizmo and Bandit

Gizmo is slighly longer in the back than Marley and Bandit

I don't think Marley and Bandit is quite fully grown yet and I have a thought that Gizmo will fill out a bit more yet.

I dont think there is a deadline for a dog to become fully grown but I would say most husky sized dogs become fully grown at 18 months to 2 years old.
