Since we found out about 6 or 7 weeks ago Dinx has epilepsy we've been a little bit soft on him you know lettin him get away with the odd thing here and there, well now it seems Dinx has picked up on this and he's being so naughty going for people even bitting he's NEVER done this before . Can anyone help with training and where's the best place to start? If I cant sort this out my partner has said he will have to go :.( that is the last thing I want. Start there and don't let her get away with anything. Ever again. They pick up on it very quickly, like you've seen. vicky4484 Posted September 5, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 5, 2013 He didn't really need training when we rescued him he was good as gold just the odd no here and there when jumping and being over playful. jmscott Posted September 5, 2013 Report Share Posted September 5, 2013 If biting is a new behavior, it may be related to the epilepsy. Talk with your vet and schedule a general check up before you start on all the different training methods. Also, when was he diagnosed? Sibes are very prone to vaccinosis and even our breeder had a dog diagnosed with epilepsy, however it turned out (after he had been neutered) that it was a terrible reaction to a vaccine.
