I've just been looking on their site and it looks like it works like a GPS, it's job is to relay wherever you left whatever it's attached to, they have pictures of bags keys laptops, but it could be used on a dog collar as well, AND it's only $19 lasts for a year, thoughts anyone, should be up and running this winter. www.thetileapp.com Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Removed #5 Posted August 11, 2013 Report Share Posted August 11, 2013 I see a lot of advantages to it in areas like the UK or large US cities where there are clusters of people who would have them, the ability to say that "XX" is lost and have all the other tiles "looking" for it would be great! However, the fact that it is currently only an iPhone/iPad app and requires cell phone service make it unusable to me. the lack of cell service out here make it untenable. A 5 - 150 foot range make it "interesting" - think I'd see my dogs if they were within that range ... 19.95 for a year is a good deal for those where it would work.
