Alex T
Thats about it! Main thing is making sure the thermometer keeps working and the water stays at a stable temp, a slight change in temp can kill tropical fish!

siberian_wolf
do you know what species of fish they are. My dad keeps fish, tropical, and has many different species. A few things about keeping tropical fish is: Water temperature (usually range around 20-24 degrees C - I think) Diet Keeping the tank clean Ph and Nitrate levels (Uneaven levels of either of these can kill off fish) Keep a constant flow of Oxygen in the tank Filtration (Will help keep your tank clean) Health problems here are a few good sites: http://www.tropicalfishexpert.co.uk/ http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/pfk/pages/browse.php?section=basics http://www.thinkfish.co.uk/ There is another very good site which I used whilst at college but I cannot think of it at the moment but if I do remember I will PM it to you hope this helps
