CANT FIND A BLOODY JOB!! soo annoyed, cant find a job and have been searching for ages!!! i have just finished my animal management diploma and got triple D* and was elated but now, cant find any job, nothing at all...its so bloody annoying, im not even picky with the job because i just want to earn enough money to start my own business as i want to start my own dog daycare but it seems i cant even get the idea off the ground due to not having money which ofcourse is because i dont have a job, every single job i apply for i get no answer back, ive only had one interview and even then thats it nothing. Really need a job, im tempted to send a message to all these job places saying 'JUST HIRE ME ALREADY!!!!' Really hope i find one soon, especially since i have so many great plans for my dog daycare and it is only the finance that is stopping me from doing it. Hopefully soon,,, ok rant over, back to job searching again :(

If it's an animal related job you're looking for, Indeed is the best of what you've been looking at. Just keep searching things like 'Animal', 'Dog', 'Kennel', 'Canine' etc and if you're interested in more exotic animal placements also try http://zoowork.blogspot.co.uk/. Other sites I searched when I was looking for a job included: http://www.animal-job.co.uk/ http://petsmiles.com/jobs/ http://www.rspca.org.uk/in-action/aboutus/careers/jobvacancies/-/article/EM_JobVacanciesIntro http://www.biaza.org.uk/careers/Vacancies/ http://www.petsathomejobs.com/site/vacancylist.cfm?viewall=true http://www.pdsa.org.uk/careers/current-vacancies

Also try searching for local kennels, rescue centres, catteries, wildlife centres, local zoos, etc. That is how I found the job I have now - I searched for local rescue centres and came up with Last Chance Animal Rescue, who had a vacancy page advertising for an animal care assistant. I applied and it was about a month before I heard back. They called me, I went in for 2 trial days, and that was that :)

Somewhere that might also be a good place to keep an eye on is the NAWT (National Animal Welfare Trust) website as they've been advertising for a lot of animal care staff. Someone from where I work is leaving this week to head to work at one of their centres, apparently it's an excellent job :)

I find they are more inclined to at least email you back and say you are unsuccessful if you phone them. What I do is search the website then google the company to find their website & number, I then big myself up and get an email address from them to send my CV. That way they are looking out for your email.

Also maybe volunteering at a shelter, could be good that way as soon as there is a job you can be first in line for it :)

This may sound like a pain in the behind but if you get the yellow pages out and go through all the relevant sections making notes of email addresses and snail mail addresses then send your cv to them regardless of whether they are looking or not you mighthit something...... i did this a few years ago and got hired..... the company said they weren't even looking for someone but liked the initiative i had shown..... you never know xx

Thanks, yeah i am very persistent and have had this plan all set out, just gotta act on it now, really hope one day ill have my dream of having my own doggy daycare and taking kai to work with me everyday :D x

Good luck.

I tried looking for a job this spring/summer too. They treat students like garbage, and you wouldn't believe how much crap I took from employers.

Although, I did get a few good leads on volunteering positions which will help me gain relevant experience.

Just saw this, omg tell me about it, it so so difficult, i did have a job at a dog daycare about 6 months ago but left because i couldnt handle the way the manager treated the dogs (kicking them, shouting at them, not even letting them play properly) i wish i couldve stayed but i told the customers about what ive seen and left didnt want to be associated with soemthing like that, i have experience of about 2 years but its like there are NO jobs available..None! Tough times

:(
