Sarah
Hi all We are arranging a few things to be implemented in the next few weeks to a month. We are looking for ALL members who wish, to apply for the position of Area Co-Ordinator" What is an area co-ordinator? An Area Co-Ordinator will be responsible for looking for new places to hold husky meets in their area, eg north wales, south west uk, parts of the US - ANY member in ANY country can apply. You will to find a nice place to walk and post up a thread on here, and facebook if you have it or anywhere else where you can publicise it - twitter for example. Attend the meet, take pictures and then come back and post on the forum of your great day out with the other members that have joined you. We will also like the area co-ordinator to arrange Husky Camp's in October in your area, so for example search for a camp site - post up, publicise and arrange activities whilst at camp - eg walks, fun games, agility etc. You do not need to have attended a husky camp before - i can talk you through anything and everything. More details will be provided to those who are successful. So - do you like the sound of things so far? What we are planning on is have GLOBAL husky meets in the near future, the more imminent reason for asking for applicants to this role, is so that we can have more people experiencing husky meets and also husky camps. We are looking at having 4 or 5 husky camps, ALL at the same time in October - yes there will be smaller groups but everyone will be able to go - the end result for camp is for people to socialise and for the dogs to have fun. Please PM myself if you are interested in helping in this type of role, I will need to know what part of the country you are in and how far within a radius, you can travel. So say myself for example - Rochdale - able to travel 50 mile radius. If you apply for this role, you must be happy to: Organise meets Organise camps Sounds like something you'd like to do? PM ME

Hyshqa
I'd love to apply but I finish uni in June/July and don't know where I'm going - I'm talking with a current house mate about moving in with her later in the year. Maybe sometime in the future when I'm settled in my own house
sutsibe
My only concern is having Camps in some areas in October - it can be pretty chilly here then, at times, so I'm sure that further north it might be downright cold...
Austinville
I don't know what the weather will bring that time of year in Iowa, but even if it's not a full blown meet, I wouldn't mind having a mini-meet at the same time.

Having been to the massive one in october they would seem pretty miniscule in comparison. Not many camp sites my way theres only one I know of lol. It's our response to the many complains that the current camps are too far to drive. So that's why we're now opting for more local minicamps. The April one will always been the same so it's up to you to what kind of camp you want to go to.
