Recommended Posts

Google has removed 22 applications from its Android Market after they were discovered to contain fraudulent software.

The scam would make a user believe they were about to download a game or program, but instead they were giving the phone "permission" to send a text message costing about £3.

OMG just read this after coming off the phone with Virgin Mobile, my son downloaded a 'free' app which has now cost us over £13 on his bill, I have rung Virgin three times and hopefully have now put a stop to it by having his phone blocked to premium rate texts. He downloaded a joke app which is connected to FlirtyMob Photo Chat (he's only 13!!). The downloading of apps is now banned in our house!
