Of course, Kira still hangs out with her best buddy Jerry.

We were camping 10 days ago and they enjoyed it probably more than we did :lovecamp: , oh and Jerry's cousin Eddy was there too :D

And while we were doing this :camping:, they were fooling around like this

With Rim Kira can play for hours, they just don't want to stop. And although theire game is mostly Rim trying to hump Kira and her defending herself it seems neither is willing to back up, and it's a relation they enjoy cos they love being together. It seems they realized very quickly that love hurts

Here's them having fun while we were having a break in one of our walks.

Looking all inoccent and well behaved

But then it starts

And when it's over, after more than a couple of hours of playing at a really high tempo this is what she looks like

The up side for us after all of this is that Rim gets her tired more in an hour of playing then we could if we walked the whole day

What a great thread!! Kira seems so happy, and fate just brought y'all together! I always say "I love people who love their pets" It seems like you and Kira are just meant to be! Great pictures, and what a difference between the shelter picture from feb. and the picture from Oct. She will forever be greatful to be in your live, and I'm sure vice versa!

Kira has a bad habit of sleeping on our couch, so we decided to make her a bed.

My girlfriend found an interesting picture in a magazine and talked me into making it.

It's two euro-palettes one on another with coated sponge on top of it. Very simple to make and looks pretty cool.

I've seen another member have those pallets also posted in a photo of the month, I think. As far as apples goes, I've heard the whole cyanide thing, but it'd have to be consentrated so much as there's not enough content in those seeds, you'd probably have to eat a semi-truck load to have any adverse effects on you or your Husky. i recognize that pic of her on the mountain in a photo of the month a while back-great picture! Its so awesome to hear about her life and how much of a terrific difference you made in her life, one thing you can see in all the pics no matter where they are, is she is a happy Husky with a furrever home-and you made that difference to her-thank you and well done for that!

Actually that other member is me with pics in the photo of the month :D

I'm not really worried about all that cyanide in the seeds talk, plus, the apples she eats are all home grown, and are not treated with any poisons which I believe are far worse than a few seeds.

In my oppinion, the only thing that Kira would like to make her happier is another dog for a roommate, but for now that is not a realistic option, maybe one day...

Today we went for a little refreshment by the river.

After running around like crazy for 15 minutes she finally sat down, this was the only picture I managed to take.

And when we got home, she and Fleki the cat were in such a great mood and were really cute.

And of course, they couldn't stay calm long enough for a better picture

They can be so hard ot photograph most of the times! Good thing about digicams is you can see and delete if they didn't turn out right. I often have the button pushed down half way ready for a shot, they are so quick you have to be ready. Even harder if you have to hold a rambunctious Husky and photo at the same time-great shots and loved the video!!

I'm a little short on photos lately, but here's another video of Kira :D

Kira is eating currants while Fleky the cat is trying to get her attention, he likes to cuddle with her. Of course, for her, food is more important :P

Last week Kira was on a vacation with us and it was her first encounter with the sea. It took her a while to realize that sea water isn't for drinking:confused:

She isn't a swimmer type and she went to water only when i took her to freshen her up, this is the nearest she went on her own.

It was sunny and hot there, a mild wind helped a bit, but she knows that it's best to keep in the shade while the heat is on.

She enjoyed the vacation, you could really tell that she loved being around someone 24 hours a day, not a single second alone. And what really surprised me in a very positive way, that even though she was there with two other dogs, her friends, a Gordon Setter and a Golden Retriever, she was the best behaved of the bunch.

I don't know about your huskies but Kira loves driving in the car. As soon as I open the doors she comes running. Usually she just sits or lays down in the back and almost always watching the road, she even learned to lean in the curves like she's driving a bike.

When it's hot outside I open the rear window for her so she can feel the wind in her fur.
