I think I know

Is it the Tamaskan dog?

Clues:

1. Belongs to the Bichon family and is a toy breed

2. Long silky hair and double coat

3. Adult coat reaches 6-8 inches in length

4. Some of these dogs carry a short hair recessive gene

5. Comes in any color

Yup ^.^ aren't they great! I love them :)

3. One of the heaviest breeds on earth. A male of this breed can exceed 200 pounds

4. A very old breed and found in Britain.

5. One of the largest dog EVER! O_O

oh lol in britin durr tibetans the biggest do u mean the english mastiff ?

english mastiff 150-250lbs

tibetan mastiff 180-280lbs

Bullmastiff 110-130lbs

and i mean durr to me btw for not reading it all properly lol

I wanna say german short hair pointer but they have different colors o.o

When I edited my post I took the clues away lol but I will post them again. And nope not a German Short Hair Pointer :P

Here are the clues again:

4. Hunting dog, excellent pointer

5. Used for big game hunting

ya know what? Before I joined this site I thought I am very knowledgeable about dog breeds but after I came to this site--especially after this thread was invented--I realize that I only know a handful of dog breeds and I don't even know what is the breed that @Michelle Melsom aiming for LOL

Clue number one and two made me think of a husky and native Japanese breeds, but then you say the breed originate in Holland x) After I expanded the search to every Arctic dog you pointed-out that it was a herding dog :S:

Edit: I asked Mr.Wikipedia and he said Dutch Shepherd Dog. Is he right?
