Guess The Breed

Ok in this game someone will give 5 clues or facts about a dog breed. Give the name and picture of the breed that fits the description. Then post 5 clues or facts for the next person.

Example time:

1. Non-sporting breed

2. Usually black and white but can be brindle, brown, seal, or grey and white.

3. Knows as the American Gentleman.

4. Brachycephalic dog breed

5. Has erect ears.

Answer: Boston Terrier

Ok so here are my 5 clues:

1. Working breed.

2. Common coat colors are fawn, brindle, reverse brindle, shades of red and most have white accents.

3. German origin.

4. Tend to jump a lot

5. Are part of the Molosser group.

Okay, I'll make it easy now

1) Widely known as the best police dog ever

2) Originates in Germany

3) Also known as the "Alsatians"

4) Doesn't have too much coat color variety

5) Protective, large-sized and quiet

1. Rarely found outside of Africa

2. Requires interaction with an owner or another dog to motivate it to exercise, and like the husky cannot be reliably trusted off lead.

3. Colors include, white, black, gray, blue, dilute brindles, grizzle, parti-color and all shades of brown to include chocolate

4. The most common health concerns are hypothyroidism, seizures, and several autoimmune mediated diseases, such as a Myositis type disease, autoimmune thyroiditis and generalized Demodectic Mange. Cardiac problems, though not common, have occurred. Bloat is rare but does occur in some lines.

Wow just noticed that this game help me research more about various dog breeds! ^0^

Now my turn. As always I'll make it easy :P

1) A dog with short lifespan

2) Good with children

3) Have a lot of health problems including bloat, hip dysplasia and even heart disease

4) Known as "Apollo of All Dogs"

5) Now the clue that reveals the breed: It is the largest dog in the world

Great Pyrenees

My turn again ^0^

1) One of the Terriers, the original name is Rothbury Terrier

2) Coat color is usually white

3) Has an appearance of a little lamb (this is a rare breed)

4) Prone to a lot of hereditary health problems such as Copper Storage Disease

5) Has a VERY long lifespan. Average is above 17 years. One woman reported her dog died at 23 years old O_O

But there are couple of breeds that can't breed naturally >.< English Mastiff is one of them but they don't have the bat ear x) I'll ask Mr.Google LOL

Cropped ears? When people say "cropped ears" the image that popped-out at my head is always Doberman pinscher. But they don't come in any color and pattern x) So, yeah... What's the answer, Mr. Google? LOL

AHA!! It's American Pit Bull Terrier =)

1) Floppy ears

2) Each dog has different pattern, it is said that there are no two dogs of this breed that has the same pattern

3) Requires a lot of exercise

4) VERY large litter size. Possibly a dog with the largest litter size.

now for mine, its a tough one.

1) Its a national treasure in finland.

2) Large breed dog

3) Used to assist in big game hunting, hunting things like brown bear and moose

4) Very independent

5) doesn't make for a very good house pet, It needs to be worked.
