Most drown due to our weather I did try to get down to her level but had to delete them as the grass took over and all you got was a flash of white now and again. The benefit of having an area to walk the dog that the owner does not want so you get free reign of the area and its closed in bar one small 3ft section that you use to get in. Really looking forward to the winter as I think Luna will love it there. davidjk Posted June 12, 2011 Report Share Posted June 12, 2011 mine are always off lead when we get to fields/parks/ land mine have never run away, but they do go into patches of woods to investigate. the need to run seems to be surpassed by the desire to investigate. if we are in big open fields they will run like mad. micha is very very smart, and im not saying that because she is mine, she really is intelligent, and 3 other huskies who have been walking with her always defer to her when out. if micha looses sight of us she waits. she only hunts when hungry, and once she has caught something she leaves everything else alone she avoids bad/off food, and will shoo suki off of bad food also. and boy is she fast, found out she is from the banned from racing zero bloodline, which might explain it, she runs circles round poor suki, and has managed to run down a deer that is capable of 30mph i cannot beat her on my mountian bike and i am able to do around 23 mph on that, although i have never tested her speed exactly . ok maybe i am biased, but we have a very unique bond with micha, and she trusts us 100% and listens Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had my boys on the walking belt - BAD decision!! The paths were fairly slippy and they pulled like mad, quite a few times I had to lunge to the side to grab hold of a fence !! davidjk Posted July 18, 2011 Report Share Posted July 18, 2011 ok so today we went out to chertsey meads to meed up with The malamute owner her mal is called kodi Micha and suki on the other side of a broken bridge Micha determined to get the critter that is in the hole Kodi the mal with suki and micha in the back ground. my huskies are the only dogs that kodi gets off lead to play with. all other dogs try to dominate kodi so she is kept on lead.
