Storm Angel n Auroras Mum
I couldnt give a flying monkeys bum tbh! It's not that big a deal really. Wedding's happen all the time. And Tesco's is still open so I have to still work. Oh no that means I'm going to miss it! boo hoo hoo hoo hoo
kmiles
haha really? Whether shes a virgin?! haha crazy! I think the US's fascination with the royals is over now... Chinese people seem to love them still There is still a pretty substantial following of them here in the States (at least in the national media). I have not found too many "normal" people that care too much, but that is not going to stop all of the national media from starting coverage at 4 AM Eastern Time. I am sure it will be on every channel for the majority of the day on Friday. All of the major news channels already have people in London covering "the story". Most of them were there at least a week early. I know I will not bother turning the TV on at all Friday AM.

calvinandmommy
Im not going to lie....I CANT WAIT!!!! I love England and its history. To me this wedding his history. I know 5 channels here in the states that will be showing the wedding, but Im only watching it on BBCA. BBCA's announcers dont annoy me as much lol. Now somebody said that America is worried a lot about if she is a virgin or not....well they did live together for a while so Im sure she isn't lol. The only thing I have a problem with is the coverage for the wedding will start at 5am here! But I will probably get up. Im sure if I lived in England I would be sick of it all and not care but I can't help it being all the way over here. I CANT WAIT TILL FRIDAY!!! I CANT WAIT TILL FRIDAY!!! yeah i understand royalist history is interesting for some people.. it is for me aswell. But i feel like the world has moved on, especially democratic countries, from such things as a need for a Royal family. Its just elitism...theyre so rich while there are plenty of homeless people in the UK that could benefit from just some of their money, or the public's money used to accomadate the queen and the royal. Not to mention all the land and property they own :/ Historically though, like i say, the whole idea of royals is interesting.

I think nobody wants to get rid of the Royals because that is England. When somebody thinks of England they think of the Royal family and Castles. It would take a miracle to get rid of the Royals. But I agree the Royals are just useless. Royal Family = English version of Hollywood

Also, the castles would still be there if they Royal family got taken away. lol..... then all the history would still be there too. Its weird, it just demostrates how unequal society is....our biggest selling point is a fmily of people who have never worked in their life, dont pay taxes, and live on everyone elses money!! lol Democracy is a funny thing

Now Im sure if we were part of the Royal family we wouldn't be saying this lol. yup, it is at the minute. Because people have been brainwashed into thinking that you need to be better than everyone else. Everyone is too selfish (well, the vast majority)..... if i was part of the royal family , i think id give all my money to charity and refuse to be a part of it. In all honesty.... i totally hate money lol
Mistyrayn
to me its a pain ..the royals are a waste of time .. IMO..... my site will shut for the day and co's i am self employed i have no choice but to loose a days wage.... so the rich decide to get married and i lose over £100 .. .... davidjk
to be honest the nation doesn't seem to care about royalty any more. i think the best thing the royal family could do is let William be king ahead of Charles

Little_Husky
Ive jsut read that the police have been told to be ready to shoot to kill at the wedding :/ Well, who hasn't been there in the process of planning a wedding? You know, just the typical wedding necessities: e.g., bride's dress, tuxedos, cake, flowers, photographer, ... sniper to kill unruly guests. (lol!) Laine
It doesn't matter to me either way, but I may flick the TV on at work to see it for a little bit, maybe. Or I'll just watch the video online when I get home. I actually pity them both though; they're making a circus out of a day that should be theirs yet it doesn't seem to be about them really. I agree though, William would be better to come to the crown instead of Charles.
Lil Miss Bump
i just wana see her dress......and i hope they're happy-every couple deserves happiness.....that's it really.....nice to have another day off to spend with my family too :-)

Huskycat
I am probably going to be in the minority here and I couldn't give a monkeys who agrees with me or not - I for one will be watching it - I love a good wedding, be it royal or not. I remember watching Princess Anne's Wedding, Diana's and Fergies wedding and all that have been shown since.... I actually like the royal family, they bring a lot of tourism to our country which brings in a lot of cash (I totally disagree that they are benefit scroungers!!! - unlike a lot of lazy so and so's in this country!). I am proud to be British and proud that we have a royal family.

Austinville
It interests me, but I'm already bored with all the coverage they are getting on our U.S. television news stations. I don't quite understand that. I will admit that I was fascinated with Princess Di. And Fergie was just plain old fun! But that's just my un-educated American opinion. Wish we could have the day off as well - NOW that would be sweet!

sutsibe
I'm interested - not to the point where I'm likely to get up at 4:00 to watch it, mind you, but I'll probably DVR it. I agree - the Royal Family is sure to bring in a fair amount of tourism income. And you have to give William his due - he WORKS for his living in your Air Force! I admire how much more in touch with ordinary peoples' lives he and his brother seem to be - I think that Diana did a great service to them and to the UK in a lot of the ways she insisted they be brought up... (Whatever else you might say about Charles, he does seem to have been a pretty good dad, too!)

And is not the Crown an essential part of what makes Britain Britain?.... So I for one applaud your spirited defense of the British Crown! .... And, actually, I too really like William and Henry, and of course Kate. I think this next generation is going to be just excellent. Cheers! - Robert A. I wouldnt say they bring that much tourism...though they certainly do bring it....like i said before though, what about the Royal Family draws tourists, that wouldnt if they no longer existed.....all the history/castles/palace etc would still be there. We've moved on a lot from needing elitists like them as a flagship for our "democratic" country. or id like to think so
