Taylor Piskorski
Andrew's parents are buying him a digital camera for his 21st birthday March 2nd. They gave him a $300.00 budget and told him to look up what one he wants and they'll buy it for him. Does anyone have an opinion on what's a good digital camera that's easy to work but takes good photos and action shots, but is around $300.00? Aramek
For 300 it is *really* hard to get one that takes "action" shots. But, I have the Panasonic TZ5, that, for a "cheaper camera" is one of the best I've ever used. Especially for scenery shots it is stunning. http://salestores.com/panaso454.html Just to read about it. ^_^

Mazz
A good site to research, and to buy if you want, is http://www.crutchfield.com. Their prices are usually fairly good, but what's nice about their site, they have specs, you can compare, they have research info that is posted, and there are pages with information on various subjects that will help you understand the terminology, what to avoid, and what to look for. You can also call their sales department, and see what they might recommend, given your budget and what type of photos you want to take. They are not high pressure at all, you simply tell them you want to digest the information and you'll give them a call later once you have made a determination. Crutchfield is really good about not being high pressure. I'm sure they get used as a resource a lot in that way, but they also sell a lot because of the service they provide. They also have a site in Canada: http://www.crutchfield.ca
