Woodsman Posted February 27, 2011 Report Share Posted February 27, 2011 Since my Niko only goes after other male dogs, it seems a lot of the mounting behaviour is about dominance. Allowing my dog to be the dominant in front of me means I would never be able to get any control over him. All the dogs I've known who were allowed to hump teddies and legs (yuk!) were out of control dogs. That's just my experience, though. Richard. I mean, it's a bit stupid to encourage humping when this is a habit most dog owners don't want. But maybe some find the prospect of their dog humping a toy amusing.
