  1. Hi all! I hope you're well, it has been a long while. I said I'd update you guys on Saiya's growth and many years later, here it is! I mostly lurk the forum these days, but we're coming up on Saiya's 7th birthday (in October already! Jeez, time flies) so I thought it a good idea to show/tell you all how she's getting on since the last you saw her she was a juvenile. She has had some issues come up with her health - I recently took her in for her first UTI and left with news that her liver is less than half the size it should be, and her stomach orientation is flipped (I can attach a photo of the x-ray if anyone is interested). Aside from that, she's happy, healthy, and as rambunctious as ever. 😋 Without further ado, here she is all grown up! As you can see, her mask has changed very drastically since she was just a pup! Please feel free to peruse her old posts (though not all of the photos are there...some have been replaced with some super weird content over the years, somehow... 🤔). She's been graying since day 1, and while that's not necessarily an indicator of her age, man does it suck watching your puppy grow old! 😭 Anyhow, thanks for lookin' and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!
  2. Hello, We recently got a new puppy. She is 10 weeks old and about 18 pounds. (She's a big girl!) When we got her, we got a chance to see her parents. Her father was a beautiful 100lb boy and mom was about 80. From what I've read, these are not average sizes for huskies... They definitely looked like huskies and weren't malamutes but it was at dark out when we picked her up... She looks really close to a Samoyed since she's all white but if you guys could show me pictures of your white fluffy puppies I'd greatly appreciate it.
  3. Hello! It's has been a while since I was last here and I wanted to post some more photos of my baby girl, as she has grown quite a bit. She is most definitely a "wooly" husky. She has bright blue eyes and is just an absolute beauty! growing... and growing... Have great day!!! Nova's mom.
  4. Hello Husky Friends! My puppy, Nova, is 3 months old. Where we live right now is about 20 degrees with lots of wind. We set up a doggie door for her to go onto our back deck & we also set up a nice kennel for her to snuggle into. Right now, she is out there but not even inside the kennel, she is just on top of a towel by the doggie door curled up in a ball. Every time I drag her butt inside she goes right back out! She is a "Wooly" and it's not wet outside so there should be no issue there. But I am afraid it's too cold for her. My question is: IS IT TOO COLD FOR A 3 MONTH OLD HUSKY TO SLEEP OUTSIDE IN 20 DEGREE FARENHEIGHT? WHEN IS IT "TOO COLD" FOR HER? She does randomly come and lay inside but she is insisting on being outside right now and i'm worried! -Thanks a bunch for those of you who answer <3 new husky mommy Mel *photo attached because she is a BEAUTY.
  5. Hey all, I posted a couple of times within the past couple of years, and a lot of you wanted to see my baby all grown up - and she is! She weighs in at around 45 lbs. I'm sorry this is so picture heavy - she's not the most photogenic creature, because it's so hard to get her to sit still!
