  1. Help us win a prize from Dublin Dog Company! WOO! lol http://bit.ly/xlnm0M Thanks!!
  2. Either one. I feed a tablespoon of canned pumpkin (without the spices) every once in a while. As for the cranberries, you can feed dried or dehydrated, or fresh
  3. Well around this time of year, pumpkin and cranberries are great things to add and are easily available. Carrots, green beans, cucumbers, and celery are healthy additives as well.
  4. Kale has free run of the house when we are home, crated when we are gone, and he sleeps with me on my bed at night
  5. Psh! Forget what others say. YOU'RE his pack! If you love him unconditionally then that's ALL that matters.
  6. Try feeding smaller meals throughout the day, maybe 3-4 times, and see if that helps. Sounds like his tummy is getting too empty between feedings.
  7. Kale gets "frisky" after he eats his dinner. He throws his toys up in the air, lays on his side grunting and digging at the floor like he's frusterated, barks and grunts at the family. Usually only lasts for 3-5 mins though and then he falls asleep lol, and he eats after his play sesh and walk to avoid GDV (Gastric Dilation Volvulus- affects larger breed dogs with deep chests, extremely uncommon in puppies).
  8. You totally did the right thing No ignoring necessary. Leaving zero scent behind is key, which you probably already know keep up the good work, it will pay off, I promise! Maybe instead of stopping cold turkey, take a week or two and slowly extend the time of when you get up. Start with 3 am again, then gradually go to 3:30, then 4, ect. Hopefully that may work.
  9. Kale used to do this when he was really little, some positive training and he stopped. Every time he showed the slightest bit of interest in digging id take him outside to another bowl and let him have at it. Hasn't dug in his bowl in the house since. Loves to dig in his kiddy pool and water bucket outside though! It's a knee slapper to watch! He sticks his whole entire head in the bucket and gets so focused on getting all the water out.... goofball
  10. Oh my goodness, when Kale sees my BF, he goes bananas and flops over on his back and squirts pee all over! you literally have to stay out of the line of fire! haha Your pup looks small still; puppys dont have full bladder control until they are 6-7 months old. Taking her out every hour to two hours and giving her the "go potty" command may help to alleviate some of the mess. Make it a fun experiance with treats and praise, while also letting her know its not playtime, its potty time. Taking her out on a leash to potty is ideal since most puppy go outside and just want to play and forget they have to potty till they get inside. lol : Kale is 17 months old and still pees when excited, but not puddles, just drops and squirts, gross to think about, but he is a male To be on the safe side, I'd have her checked by a Vet to see if she doesn't have a bladder infection, that would make her pee a lot as well.
  11. Kale had his full round of puppy shots, and just received his year and a half boosters. Parvo is HUGE where i live. I will update his distemper/parvo vaccine every 3 years with his Rabies. He got his Bordetella as a puppy, and I am still undecided if I an going to continue with it, but that's a personal decision. I am also in the process of getting him his Lyme and Crotalus (rattlesnake) vx as well, boosters are in 3 weeks, and I will update those every two years, not yearly. Better safe than sorry with Lyme and rattlers, especially since we're gonna be doing some hiking.
  12. Caswell Memorial State Park, California. (taken with phone)
