What are your initial reasons for wanting a Husky seeing as this is your first ever experience with a dog? You maybe better off choosing another breed of dog until you have more experience. Just my opinion. You need to put an Huskies priorities first, and not to leave home alone for very long, as already said, they bore very easily, and are so intelligent, you really need to have much more experience with a dog before even thinking about getting an Husky.

Hi everyone, my name is Micky, and although originally from the United Kingdom, I now reside in Finland. I'm a former Siberian Husky Trainer, having experience in both shows, and racing packs with wheeled rigs. I do not own an Husky at the moment, but do plan on investing in a bitch at some point, but waiting for our daughter to get a little older first. Loving the forums so far.!
