  3. Thanks a bunch! We’re gonna try to use the 50/50 solution on his mouth. He does drool quiet a bit and he’s been sleeping on the carpet recently. Usually he sleeps on the wood floor so we’ve never seen stains [emoji44] Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  4. Hey all! I’ve been wondering if this rust color is normal for huskies? He’s been licking his mouth a lot and the rust is staining the carpet. Any one have advice on what it could be? I hope it isn’t something too serious [emoji22] We just got all clear after his car accident a month ago. Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app
  5. We’re all clear!! Kuma made a full recovery!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  6. Thanks all! Kuma seems to be recovering well. Not as scared anymore outside, we think it might’ve been the pain meds he was taking before. Now he just wants to play! He got a weird water lump where the vet check and vet said he should reabsorb it in a few weeks. We will be going to ongoing rechecks until vet gives the all good! Thanks so much, it’s really less stressful when we for this forum [emoji24] Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  7. Update on Kuma furball, he almost seems back to normal in terms of moving and eating. He’s taking some antibiotics for the gall bladder Incase of infection and some Denamarin for the liver. I think mentally he’s really scared to go out so we’re being really patient with him to go pee every time. Thanks for all the support from you all! We’re going for a recheck in two days Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  8. We got some bad news, vet said he has a pnumo thorax where the heart is shifted and there’s a legion where a lung might’ve gotten punctured and liver ALT is high. If doesn’t resolve on its own we’re gonna a need a CT scan and maybe have to do tapping to get rid of air buildup in the lung area. Good news is he can still walk, eat and pee normally, no broken bones. We need to monitor him this week and he’s gonna go back to the vet on Monday for the doc to watch him. Doc said these issues may resolve on their own. We’re taking pain meds and liver support meds. Hoping the legion in the lung will be okay. Our lawyer said since we’re pedestrians we’d most likely win against the Insurance, the case we should be able to cover some of the med costs. We’re just kinda on limbo and he seems to be mentally scared. He was scared of a fly this morning but we’re all hoping for the best and thank you all for the support it really helps a lot for us [emoji24] Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  9. Yes we’re at the vet again to see if there’s any additional X-rays they could do for his chest area. The emergency vet only did the pelvic bone and legs. He’s had a bit of diahhrea today and that’s why we’re checking him again. We’re hoping the best Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners Did she have any diahhrea after? Mentally he seems a bit slower to react and he did get scared when we passed by a car starting up Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app
  10. Yesterday at 7 pm, we went to the emergency and they said he doesn’t have any broken bones. We’re hoping it’s shock and bruised. What is hydro therapy? Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  11. Hi all thanks our vet helped a bit with giving him some steroids to get rid of the wet cough. We also got a X-ray just to see if was anything serious, he was clear for cancer. Thank god, now he’s on some supplements for preventative care and he’s just a happy furball! I’m also sorry for the late response, it’s been a tough month with his meds and he had some diarrhea from something he caught from the strays outside our neighborhood [emoji17] Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  12. My furballs got hit by a car as we were in the middle of the intersection next to our house and they both got hit a long with a hooman. Kiba seems to be okay with the vet but Kuma is stiff. The emergency vet said the X-rays all checked out and he had no broken or fractured bones. We’re just really worried and if anyone has had experience if they have any advice? We’re going over the X-rays again and are getting pain meds for him. [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24] Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app
  13. Yes the vet took an x-ray and we’re waiting for the results. I’ll most likely be sending those a long for a second opinion. Last time the vet said is was upper respiratory and were worried because Kiba likes to pick up things off the ground on our walks. We catch almost all the time but he was at my Parents backyard for 3-4 days so we’re not sure if it’s something in the yard he has a reaction to. [emoji32] Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app I’m was asking our vet if we needed a allergen blood test to see if Kiba was allergic to anything but the vet dismisses the idea. We don’t think it’s allergies or the Benadryl they recommended isn’t working anymore [emoji33] Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app1) Yes we’ve checked last time he has the cough and nothing was in it. She prescribed antibiotics to get the cough away, but it’s back again. It does seem seasonal. 2) Heartworms yes we’ve tested and he was negative last time. Would we need to do another one? It’s been about 6 months since the last one. 3) Were thinking of getting a second opinion from the holistic vet for his breathing. 4) We’ll check with the vet for the results on this as well. 5) Chronic Bronchitis is what I think it might be and a decongestant seems a good option. I’ll check with the vet on this as well. 6). Probiotic, would plain yogurt work? Would you happen to know how much a day? I have a appointment this Saturday and hopefully this vet and see the causes for his cough. Thank you all for your support these furballs are our kids [emoji847] Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  14. Hi, I’m new to this forum. My husky Kiba has been getting chronic coughs that are on and off. Usually I go to our vet and she just prescribes me antibiotics to get rid of it temporarily. It’s been driving me nuts with worry and at first we’ve been thinking it’s the dust so we’ve been cleaning the house almost everyday. When we think he gets better he starts coughing again. The wet kind of cough like bronchitis. We feed his Blue Buffalo with Dr Harvey’s Immmune boost as well as his fish oil. The Immune boost cleared up his Demodex Mange two years ago but we’ve been keeping it on him because he has a compromised immune system. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? Is it allergies or maybe his diet? We’re going to a holistic vet Saturday to see, but I wanted to get some opinions if anyone’s had this issue with their furball?
