  1. Thank you. Iโ€™m going to try heel training. Tell me about it! Itโ€™s like having a toddler! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks, Iโ€™m going to try and distract her with a toy- hopefully it works. I feed her Taste of the Wild puppy formula. Yeah, they arenโ€™t fond of her as it is. They do keep their distance. Itโ€™s fine, though, Iโ€™m not fond of their angry-looking dogs lunging at us either. Sorry, Iโ€™m confused on what you mean (the bolded part). My girl is potty trained. She doesnโ€™t eat her poop- she eats cat poop she finds outside. I donโ€™t have cats. I would like to find her
  2. Hello! Been gone for a bit, but in back. Sorry for the long post My fur baby is currently 8 months. She is getting stronger and more energetic each day. However, with that have come some behavioral issues. I'm not sure how to address them. There's a few: 1) Xilo loves walks, whether it's with her harness or collar. However, as soon as we go down the porch stairs, and at times while we walk; as soon as she feels she's pulling me (or she sees something/ someone and I don't quicken my pace to go chase it too), she turns around and bites the leash. She bites it, pulls it hard, and som
  3. Sorry for the super late response. I had visitors. ๐Ÿ™„ Anyway, she didn't handled the stairs okay. Once she figured out how to maneuver with her cone head- she was going down the stairs no problem. She refused to go up the stairs during her cone days. She didn't like the cardboard cone very much. She started chewing it that same day. I went out and bought her an Elizabethan collar the next day. CHewed that one a bit as well. All is well now. She made a full recovery and is back to her crazy self. It lasted a day. ๐Ÿ˜‚ She chewed her Elizabethan collar a little as wel
  4. Update: I've made a temporary cardboard collar. Hopefully this will keep her at bay. I tried a towel and duct tape collar, but I think she felt it too heavy. (Yes, she hated them all.) she is doing much better today.
  5. Yes, I meant cone. Lol I thought we could without one. I was wrong. I tried putting on a t-shirt. She hates it.
  6. Thank you!! A t-shirt hadn't occurred to me! ๐Ÿ˜›
  7. Hello! So my girl got spayed yesterday. I was wondering if anyone had any insight or advice on aftercare- how did it go? So far, so good. She's tried to lick at the sutures twice. I was able to stop her. (No e-collar, rookie mistake on my part- I know.) I have tons of stairs, and I tried to block her from coming upstairs, but she was up here the minute I ran to the restroom. She is taking meds. I'm scared she'll hurt herself. Im concerned she'll want to run and jump when she isn't supposed to. Im a nerve wreck! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ thanks!
  8. Well, I thought maybe she did hit her nose on something, but i can't think of anywhere she could have hit her nose. Vet told me to keep observing it. It could be a bite. I haven't seen any changes.
  9. Hello! So, last night I noticed a small bump on my puppy's snout. I'm going to try to attach a photo. She still has it today, and it doesn't seem to have changed size. My husband said he thought he may have seen the bump a few days ago. He didn't tell me ๐Ÿ˜  Until last night. I have to go to the vet this week and was planning on asking her what it could be. Has anyone else had an experience like this? Could it be a bug bite?? Thanks.
  10. Unfortunately, I don't. I've seen other dogs around the neighborhood that I know are friendly, but they either don't get walked or they stay away from us. ๐Ÿ˜” Im just a ball of stress. It irritates me to be stressed out like this. Thanks. I've tried taken different routes, with the same result- I freak out. I only feel okay when my husband walks with us.
  11. Hello! I'm hoping this is posted in the right section. Not sure. It's about both my dog and myself. My 4.5 month old dog was attacked a month ago, and while she seems to have made a full recovery (fur growing back where the bite mark was/is), I cannot say the same for me. I think I'm traumatized and I'm affecting my girl as well. I have become fearful on our walks in the mornings. Any bark, even off in the distance, makes me tense. Dogs outside, if I don't immediately see the leash, I'm tense. I'm always on alert-mode instead of just enjoying the walk. My girl normally enjoys her w
  12. Update: Xilonen seems fine, she was acting kind of lethargic yesterday, but it could be because she just wanted to be next to the A/C vent. Today, she played with and possibly ate a dying carpenter bee. I hope it was the male because the male doesn't sting. ๐Ÿ™„
  13. Hello! So, this morning I let my dog outside to do her business, and I had to step away from the yard for a moment. When I came back to open the door for her, she had what looked like a feather sticking out of her mouth. She dropped it on the carpet to show me I guess. To me, it looked like the entire WING of a robin. We have a lot around here. No blood, and I found no feathery corpse outside. I found some small feathers by a bird bath we have out back, but that's it. My question is, did she eat the robin (I hope it got away), and if she did will my Xilo be okay? image of the "gift"
  14. Thanks. I am proud because I remained calm during everything. Very hard to do. The guys wife didn't, and I don't think that was helping. I mean I freaked out when I got to my car and again when I got home. I am sticking to my neighborhood walks like usual.
  15. I do have their info. But No offers to pay the bill. I wasn't charged because the vet said she didn't need medication. So, hopefully I don't have to take her back. We both had leashes on our dogs. It was a perfect morning, until that mean mastiff showed up. The guy was already struggling with the dog. I noticed, and every time I replay the scene, I think of 100 things I could've done differently. ๐Ÿ˜” Thanks. She seems ok now. I thought she wasn't going to say hi to the neighbor's dogs when we got home. They have 2 smaller dogs and a 3rd that looks like a lab.She ran over to the fence an
