  3. I cut the story short. I don’t like writing long post. She also exhibited pain in her left hip upon examination at the vets office in addition she would favor her leg when out playing with other dogs not often but several times at least. Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app
  4. My husky is 11 months. She has a habit of lifting her right and or left leg when I take her out to potty. I mentioned it to my vet and she told me that when a dog lifts it’s legs like that it could be an indication of hip displacement. Long story short I decided to have the vet x-ray her hips for my peace of mind. The x-ray showed her hips were fine her ball and joints were perfectly aligned everything was perfect. The cost of sedating her along with the x-ray cost about $220 in USD. Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app
  5. Your story sounds exactly like mine. You may want to look into “Grandma Lucy’s” It’s a freeze dried minimally processed food. It’s very close to raw feeding. I used it until I became confident in my ability to make sure I was providing my husky with all the essential vitamins etc., she needed. Feeding raw is more than just the giving your dog the muscle meat (although that is the foundation and majority of a raw diet.) The diet must also include calcium which you get from bones, organs are the multivitamin, fruits and vegetables are the least part of the diet. The diet should also contain fish. Hope this helps. You know your better than anyone. So continue to research and take the steps towards raw feeding when you are comfortable! Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners mobile app

  8. My husky was 8 weeks when I bought her home. She chewed furniture, her bedding things of that nature as well. I used pepper and in some cases hot sauce to deter the chewing. For example she would chew the end of rugs. I Doused those areas with pepper and she kept away from them. For furniture I would wet the areas with hot sauce. That also deterred her. Eventually she just stopped altogether but it took a lot of consistency on my part. It would be great if you could catch her in the act and give her a stern No along with a toy that she is allowed to chew. As someone else has already said if they are bored they will chew so daily exercise is a must. As for the bedding I just removed it until I was able to sit and watch her and again by being able to catch her in the act and tell her no and give her toy she eventually stopped chewing her bedding. But what also helped with that was her crate training. The more she respected her crate the less destructive she became of anything in it. I really hope this helps. 10. I had the groomer brush her teeth. I’m wondering why the vet is using anesthesia? Are they doing a deep cleaning ? Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
