Sorry for the late reply. Would play it safe and take the heads off because of residue from the round. Am still trying to find my first permission so that I can do the self same thing. BASC membership sorted but no FAC for me yet though so gotta make do with my .22 air rifle.................... for now . Hoping to apply for that in the not too distant future.

The written agreement/sales contract is being worked on so that it is ready for when they go and, in addition, we are getting them all microchipped so that there is an audit trail back to us as the breeders. ** looks down trousers** Yep, I'm still a man, lol

Cheers for the support guys. Slowly but surely we are getting there. Had the home-school agreement home to sign the other day. Got the old hi-lighter out, hi-lighted all the areas that they are failing on and sent it back with a letter to the effect of I'll sign this when you start upholding your side of the contract. Damn it felt good although, oddly enough, they still haven't replied. Had a "no names mentioned" conversation with the Police the other week so I'm with you on that one. Gonna give the school 'til the end of February to make some progress and, if they don't, I'll call back with all the names and dates.

Bit of an obscure one this but, as the title says, what sites have you found which aren't populated almost exclusively by scammers? Have put an ad up on Preloved but sort of got lost in the flood of sites that I've never heard of after that . Can't post on the KC site as we don't have Star's papers. Suggestions please guys .

We used a plastic measuring jug from the local 99p store. Weighed out the food, leveled it off in the jug and drew a line with a permanent marker. Hey presto. Instant, hard wearing measuring cup .

Parting with them is going to be soooooo hard . Gotta start writing ads and advertising them for sale over the next week or so. For the record, they will not be leaving our care until 8 weeks at the earliest .

Cheers guys. Was thinking of doing it once a week or fortnight as a treat. Would mostly be makeral, sea bream or sea bass heads that they would get. Will give it a go and let you know how they got on . Have a look at the link I posted on the Danger Foods thread pinned at the top of the board. It lists fish species which contain high levels of thiaminase, the cause of the problems you mention. The list in that document isn't a complete list but does show some of the commonly available species. Thanks for the heads up though .

New vid of the pups taken yesterday at 19 days old. All doing well. Socialising well with the kids and Bud had his first face to face intro with them yesterday too. Seemed to go well as Bud was relaxed and curious rather than his very high prey drive taking over. Just need to start advertising for new homes for them now. Had a few enquiries but nothing concrete as of yet. Overall, very happy with how things are progressing .

See, that's the stupid thing about the whole situation. Alf plays rugby and does karate AND the school know he does. If he does snap one day then he'll seriously mess (you know what word I wanted to type really) the bullies up and then he'll be the one in trouble.

If I'm reading the article correctly figure 2 gives a list of definate "don't feeds" and figure 3 gives a list of fish which either shouldn't be fed (shown with a + next to them) or "can be fed" (shown with a - next to them). The list in figure 3 seems to indicate that freshwater fish should be avoided and that saltwater species, with the exception of those listed in figure 2 and Herring, are all good. Maybe someone who's a little more knowledgable could confirm that. Marine Biology wasn't my thing at uni .

My son is having a few problems (to say the least) with bullies at school so we have been trying to get it sorted within the school rules. What is the point in having an anti bullying policy in place when there aren't any punishments/sanctions in place to deal with the bullies! Honestly, I feel like going all "Hand That Rocks The Cradle" on the little £&$#ers myself!!!!!! :angry: :angry:
