  2. A healthy dog won't starve itself to death. Just mix the food up every month thats what I do they don't ever get the same food. Try mixing foods they make little toppings you can put on it that entices them to eat more also. Try putting can food in with dry food. 12. Okay once she realizes she is getting treats it should kick in pretty fast. They love treats. You can do the same thing with the TV and loud noises. When she comes over give her a treat. When you take her outside give her some treats. Switch the treats up a bite or she will get bored [emoji2] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  13. They really do love those snakes [emoji7][emoji847][emoji177][emoji177] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  14. Okay that's pretty awesome a husky island that's fantastic. Alright so now it's just a waiting game. I would cut her room off when people come over put her dog bed in another room that connected to the living room. Close all the doors in all the rooms. Put her dog bed and some toys don't forget something for her to chew on then ignore her. Have some dog treats in bowls around the house for people to give her when she comes over. Ignore her completely tell she comes over. When she comes over let the visitor give her treats. If she comes to you give her a treat. Making since?? [emoji2] Cut off the hallway also so she can't run down it and hide a baby gait works well. [emoji4] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app

  16. Oh I see. Do you have anymore friends who have huskies?? I think that last part of what you said is key " as free as she is with her sister running around" she comfortable with another dog. Maybe try bring people over who have other dogs similar to huskies and German shepherds as they understand playtime the husky way. Lol if that makes since?? I get what your saying you want her to chill out and relax. I think this is going to be a long road how long no idea but she's been through a lot. She is eight months right?? Just patience and keeping doing what you can they are stubborn and like to do things their way this unfortunately isn't really something to be rushed. You have plenty of time. Usually I'm not advocate for these places but do you have a dog park around?? I'm guessing again but is it safe to say she gets along with other dogs alright. ( Not little dogs) dogs her size?? Sorry if I'm asking to many questions. [emoji51] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
  17. That I can completely understand. I'm sorry for her and that this has been such a long road but there is always something good that comes out of owning a husky because you grow with them and learn patience. Does she interact with the main family okay?? I'm guessing she does I saw your pictures of her and your German Shepherd when you first joined. I would just make a very strong trusting base with you and your main family. Only invite one visitor at a time maybe on a weekly basis let her get familiar with them. Give her Saturday and Sunday just to be with your main family and work from there. They all can adjust differently and all the hard stuff she went through to finally get healthy could've made her timid as well. It's going to be a long road but it will be worth it. 19. I'm so sorry that happened to her. It sounds as if she could have one out of two problems. 1.) She is very timid and given her background and all that work wouldn't surprise me. Or 2.) She just needs to adjust there is really no way to rush that. She will bloom on her own time some huskies take longer then others. Just stay positive and no yelling which you are already doing. Keep your schedule consistent that helps. [emoji4][emoji4][emoji2][emoji2] Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app
