  1. Sakura gets the same brand and flavor wet and dry and no issues other than refusing food lately but that’s because we were on a trip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Furthest I’ve gotten her is to the garage and that’s about 50 feet from front door. Usually she plants around the 10 feet out. I would never “force” her, that’s as a bad choice in words. What I meant was continue to keep her leash tight calling her trying to show her I’m not afraid and it’s ok. Instead of letting her be afraid and think it’s legitimate. She’s fine in the morning when it’s dark it’s only from sundown on that she is sketch. She will barely go on the screened porch without tail tucked and always ready to bolt in. 3. There hasn’t been fireworks for a week. No sounds no anything outside but she won’t go. This isn’t an afraid of the sounds thing, this is an afraid to go outside after dark now because what happened during the 4th celebration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Well, since all the fireworks and on the fourth and the week following I have not been able to get Sakura past the sidewalk before she freaks out. This means no pee/poop before bed and she thankfully holds it till morning. Problem is now she is thinking that if she sits and plants herself or turns and pulls as hard as she can that she gets to go inside. There is nothing happening outside to scare her she’s just on super alert mode and is traumatized from all the explosions. Do I let her keep thinking it’s ok to react like that till she’s over it? Or do I keep trying to urge her forward showing her it’s ok? I don’t want to traumatize her more by forcing her out but I also don’t want her to be terrified of outside after dark forever. HELP!!! 7. My Husky/Malamute mix,Sakura, is 3 also and plays pretty rough but I’ve gotten her to stop mouthing and biting so much. Did this by saying a shocking OUCH anytime she does it. It catches her off guard and makes he stop and look at me. If she does it again I say it more elevated and she gets it. Took about a month of always doing it but she is much better. Biggest problem is how rough she plays with other dogs, does your play rough with dogs as well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Silicone valley is great and didn’t see that one listed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Sakura made a new friend, Willow the Samoyed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I’ve had people turn and run away when they see Sakura and question if she is some kind of wolf all time because, “huskies don’t come in that color”......well then don’t tell her . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So is that a win for Sakura? What does a win even mean lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Looks husky/mal to me. Has similar face structure to my Husky/Mal mix and has that thicker neck mane and longer nose. My female is 75lbs and huge compared to female huskies. Hell huge compared to some of the males too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Seems that I lost the app in Tapatalk for a while there. Hope everyone’s been doing well. Here are some recent pics of Sakura. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hey guys, for the last few months I thought I had heard weird sounds coming from Sakura when she’s get up occasionally but didn’t pay it any mind as she was always happy and never slowed. Recently with the cold(Florida cold) she has been getting up a little slower and clicking/popping seems louder. Had her at the vet and asked him to check her hips out. Said one was good but the other he wants to X-rays of to look further as he felt issues with it. Has anyone else had issues like this and should I be worried now? Vet said she may need surgery if the X-rays come back with issues. She’s always happy and never once given a sign it’s hurting but I don’t want to jump to surgery if at all possible due to the issues I know I will have life long after joint surgery. Most times the surgery amplified the issue and speeds up the deterioration. Pic for attention. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk She will be 3 on February 23rd. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. My pup didn’t like treats at all when I first got her but a cube of ice would get a different response. Give that a try see if ice is more enticing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Gotta say I’m partial to my blonde blue eyed girl. People describe her as a roasted marshmallow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Random fact: Pigs do not have sweat glands, that is why they wallow in the mud to cool off. But they do excrete the fluids through their feet. This is why you see the chunky white material at the top of a jar of pickled pigs feet as it is remaining sweat coming out. Sorry, saw them at a gas station today and remembered someone telling me this so I had to share. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Almost got my girl this shirt and dressed up my dog like the pic lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Been 40 years since it snowed here, makes it hard to submit an entry lol. But I am heading north for Christmas this year so here’s to hoping we can get Sakura in her first snow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Local parks here provide bags and bins as well but I’m more talking about around the home. I looked into the pet genie and is one of the reasons I made this. Pet genie cost $10-$20 depending on where you buy and then you need to spend $10-$20 a month on the refills. With my set up it cost $15 in materials and I use my old plastic groceries so no recurring cost to remove the poop. Pet Genie is nice but I didn’t want the additional monthly cost for it when I already spend a fortune on my dogs food treats and toys lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Unfortunately where we live does not supply anything and poop bags are supplied by each individual owner and disposed of however they decide. That is when they actually pick up their dogs crap...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
