  1. They make you laugh with their behaviour, lucky you having snow [emoji301]️ we’re just having rain and loads more rain! When it snowed this year my 2 would bury themselves in it, I couldn’t get them in at night. Sent from my iPad using Husky Owners
  2. I’d recommend a behaviourist every time, I saw one for Luka blue last year and it really helped, she was able to explain his behaviour in a way that made sense and I applied it to all situations, vets are more medical related rather than emotional. Dave will be able to smell your hormone changes and maybe it gives him anxiety, but it maybe something unrelated to your pregnancy, dogs like their routine and there will be changes when your baby arrives, it might help to prepare him. As an example of how sensitive they can be, Cai, my red kept sniffing and pawing at my stomach for the last 2-3 mon

  4. I tried it for 2 days and mine hated it, plus I wanted to be able to get them used to free roam around the house with no issues, there was a video on the forum somewhere showing how to get them used to going in it using treats, taking it slow and building the time up so she sees it as a good place. Husky’s love to be with us and near us maybe you could put the crate in the bedroom at night so she can see you. Sent from my iPad using Husky Owners
  5. My 2 love to play with balls, I haven’t come across one that is totally husky proof yet but there are some good ones around. Kong products are good but beware of toys that have stuffing in them, husky’s can destroy toys quickly and eat the stuffing which can cause blockages. Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners
  6. A lady from the witness programme phoned me with the courts decision, he has a 12 month community order, he has to check in with probation once a day, if he fails to check in he’ll be visiting HM Prison, he has to attend rehab and be submitted to random drug tests, he has to pay £300 court costs and compensation to my son and myself and a restraining order is in place. 10. Thank you everyone [emoji1] The solicitor from the CPS came to speak to me halfway thru presenting the evidence and said he’d pleaded guilty to assault on my son but not on me and would I accept that, I said no so she went back and came back half an hour later to say that he’d pleaded guilty to both assaults, on the advice of his solicitor. 2 of the 3 witnesses came to court on our behalf to give their evidence, they took time off work for it, there are some good people out there willing to help. He’s on probation and he has to go back tomorrow to be sentenced.......or not. The CPS will let m

  12. What a relief at last to have some answers, and good news for Marley, at least with his new diet he’ll be healing inside. It’s annoying that shops hoik up the prices on organic foods, I like Lidl’s meat, really good quality, I’d have a read up on where they buy their meat from and what the animals are fed on. I buy 400g packs of beef that cost £2.59, in Tesco’s they cost £3.99 and Morrison’s £3.99, and there’s less fat on the meat from Lidl, I make quite a saving at the end of the week. Wishing Marley well x Sent from my iPad using Husky Owners

  21. Hi, he’s a handsome boy! My vet turned her nose up when I told her my 2 are raw fed, I’m thinking they don’t think we’re capable of doing it correctly and they stock dry food in the vet surgery, so it’s in their interest to promote it. Sent from my iPhone using Husky Owners

  23. Oops [emoji51] so I’ll finish what I started never tap or shout as this will make your pup anxious and nervous which can lead to aggression. Training needs to be consistent, if possible set a routine for her, feeding, training and playing, that way she’ll know what to expect and when. Playing is just as important as training as this is where you’ll develop your bond and she’ll start to trust you, once you have trust it’s easier to train her. I won’t lie to you when I say she will frustrate you and huskies can be very demanding and when she hits 4 months plus she’ll listen less, don’t give up,
  24. It’s normal for pups to bite, the trick is to have a chew toy to hand, when she bites say Ah ah and give her the toy to chew. Huskies require a lot of stimulation as they are an intelligent breed, when they’re bored they become destructive. At 8 weeks you can start teaching basic commands, sit, stay, lie down etc, use positive reinforced training, lots of praise and reward with a tiny treat, NEVER shout or tap your pup as Sent from my iPad using Husky Owners
