  7. I'd Say monitor her closely or get her to a vet. Not to scare you or anything, but when my Husky was doing the same a few months ago, it turned out he had a blocked intestine.
  8. Hi all, Our Saber had to have emergency surgery today to remove a blockage in his Intestine. Had been vomitting all day last Thursday which stopped later that night but didnt eat since and became really weak and dehydrated. Initially his blood test showed an infection so he was given medication for that. But when he still wasn't eating after all this time we were concerned and took him in last night X-ray wasnt showing anything conclusive, so surgery had to be performed to be certain. They found a Mango stone and removed it, no damage was done. He's all stiched up and resting, being kept in for a few days to avoid infection. As obvious, they have shaved his whole stomach and a patch near his neck where they took a blood test from and on his leg for a drip. I was wondering, how long does it usually take for the hair to grow back (if at all) and also if i should be giving any extra supplimentation to aid its growth. also wanted to know, should i be wary of walking him in the sun now? as summer is on its way. Perhaps a jacket? Thanks for the help T

  10. Some Pictures of Saber over the wonderful two years:
  11. Hi guys, Hope you are all well. Just wanted a recommendation on a good Wet Food for our Saber. He's currently on Taste Of The Wild dry Kibble. But as most Sibe's he's such a picky eater. There are day's he'll scoff most of it, some day's he wont even touch it, some day's he'll eat the whole thing. I normally end up pouring some sauce or soup over his kibble to get him to eat. He's two year's old and weighs about 23KG and is Medium Size. Which the Vet says is fine and he's a bit skinny, can really easily feel his ribs. But his coat and energy levels are great. I'd like to fatten him up a bit. I was thinking of mixing some wet food in with his kibble to make it more appealing to him and then hopefully he'll eat a regular amount consistently. Here he is:
  12. Orijen is great, i switch between this and Taste Of The Wild for our Saber. He does great on both, only bad thing about Orijen is that it 's a bit pricey.
  13. Hi guys, Saber has been Shedding the last month or so and i have noticed he has gone thinner. Of course his coat will be and etc but his stomach has been in a lot recently. I've upped his food amount but he's been so picky with his food. Sometimes he won't eat it till the evening, he's on Taste Of The Wild. Is it common for Husky's to loose weight while shedding? or should i get him checked out? Thanks Tom
  14. Teaching him to say No. Almost there!
  15. Hey says it as clear as day now lol: My friends have been telling me to upload a video of him saying it for ages, here it is!!!
  16. To be honest, Saber used to nip/bite a lot when he was a pup and i used to search endlessly for way to get him to stop. I followed advice that everyone here suggested and i never used to see any change. But now he's 12 months old he hardly does it at all. He likes to hold onto your hands/fingers when your playing with him or wrestling but it's never with any pressure or enough force to draw blood. Sometimes he may nip at hands to get attention i.e for someone to open the door to let him out or when he wants to go walkies. The best advice is just be patient and consistent, don't try to stop them from biting but teach them bite inhibition. Whenever they bite with too much pressure stop and correct them and eventually you'll notice they just stop doing it all together. Tom
  17. Saber used to do the exact same thing up until a few months ago. I think it was due to the fact that if he never ate his food within 20 mins we used to pick it up and try again later. So if he wasn't hungry he would go hide the chicken wings and save them for later and eat them when he was, because he thinks we wont give them to him unless he ate them then, At once stage he was burring them in the garden. He doesn't do it anymore now because if he doesn't eat something we just leave it out and when he is he can go help himself. I think it's just a instinct they have of saving food for later. A few times he would go into his house outside and hide them under his bed and if anyone dare go into his house he would shoot right back over there to guard his chicken wing lol. Eventually he would realize that someone is just going to pick it up when he's not looking so he ate it there and then lol. It's a beautiful thing seeing their natural instincts, just a shame they don't work in a home environment lol Tom
  18. Hey guys, Just had a bit of a weird experience. Kind of don't know what i should be doing next?. Saber was asleep on the floor when all of a sudden he stood up with a confused look on his face. I then saw that he had an unusually large erection that was dripping. So i took him outside and he just stood there in the same spot with almost a scared look on his face. After about 10 mins he was done, but now he's just sitting in the garden and not coming in. He's 11 months old, he gets the odd erection here and there but has never been this big or ejaculated before. Is this him just becoming a big boy lol or something not right here?. He's my first dog, so bare with me if i don't get things lol Many thanks Tom
  19. He's still acting the same way. A friend suggested spicing up his kibble in the morning, so i'm going to add some Tuna into it. With him burring most of his chicken wings in the evening i'm concerned he's not eating enough.
  20. Yup, Saber will paw away at us untill we scratch his belly lol. It's so funny to watch, as soon as you stop scratching. He looks up at you like WHAT!? and then throws a paw lol

  22. lol he's really baffling me these last few days. Today he ate just under half of his 200g of kibble around 1pm. I gave it to him in the morning and he didnt touch it so i picked it up and gave it at 1pm and thats when he ate a bit. But this evening when i gave him his chicken wings. He picked one up and put it in his kennel, then picked another up and went and buried it at the other end of the garden. I think he ate 3 out of the 5 but he may have stashed another one somewhere too lol. Any idea on why he's doing this? and should i be adjusting his feeding i.e amounts/meals
  23. Hey guys, He's still the same, eats about 3/4's of the food over the course of the day. He scoffs down the chicken wings in the evening, but tonight and last night i noticed him hiding a chicken wing in his kennel lol. He gets 5 chicken wings, he picks the first one up and puts it in the corner then covers it with his blanket and eats the other 4. What on earth is up with him? lol. I'm just worried, i don't want him to stop eating his kibble, as chicken wings alone wont give him a balanced diet. He used to be all over his kibble in the mornings.
