  1. We want to go next year, however we're going to wait until a couple of months before the date to see if Wales relaxes some of the lockdown rules. We will just have see what the conditions are in early April. This year is the first year in 10 years we haven't been to Husky Camp. When the conditions are safe, we'll be back. . . . We miss you guys.

  2. We as it stands right now are not booking anything to do with camp as it took me 90 days to get moneys back this year and I feel the way things are going we could well find us in the same boat again, having said that I'll come down to see whoever visits but only doing it from here and not staying which when I think about it makes more sense seen as it only takes one of us to drive back and forth. Them that are worried about booking vans there really is no need to rush it's a quite week when we go and so long it's it's booked the month before I can't see them being booked up.

  3. And that would be Wales now done the same. Except in Wales the rule is As none of us are in the same extended household group, it actually means none of us can meet up. This is why I said I wasnt announcing camp in any way until this lot was all over. Had I done a full announcement on the normal camp, and started organizing everything, it would have been broken in less than a week. Camp will not refund you unless they physically have to close, and at the moment they dont. So please please bear that in mind.

  4. OK guys, I know quite a few of you have been asking about next years dates for camp. The reality is, even though I know things are opening more, it doesn't actually put us in any better situation than we were in when I last posted. The rules that affect us have not changed in any way, and are not likely to any time soon. The reality is, we are still a group. We're not 2/3 people going on holiday somewhere. So with the above said, I'm going to post what the dates would be if it were to go ahead, but you need to read all of this before you decide on whether or not you want to book. REA

  5. Less than 24 hours and things are already changing. Had the change in rules to only 6 people being allowed to gather been in Wales, and in May, we would be screwed. This is why we've been reluctant to add dates. It's only 6 months away.

  9. I would just say to have patience - try to get your pup to trust you and want to be with you (treats and games will help) - the one I have that wont come near me has had a bad experience with female humans in his past - so I am still trying to over come that - we are getting there - but it wil take time - he has come a long way in the last 9 months - but it will take many more months before he will fully trust a female human again (if ever). You got your pup at 4 months - you do not know what hapened before you got her. My other boy I got at 3 months - and i know I

  10. It is quite normal for a husky to ignore you - unless they can see something in it for them .......................... but this does not usually manifest itself so early in my experience. It looks as if she is missing her playmate. Not all huskies bond tightly with us - some are a little aloof - I have two rescues, one can not bear to be away from me unless he has his buddy by his side - the other however will only come near me when he wants a treat or feeding - at all other times he is either in the kitchen or the garden or even the passage ...................... basically a

  13. Thank you Robke! All his treats come out of his daily allowance (300gr total). But I understand Huskies should receive the lower end of the suggested serving size, so this may indeed be the issue.. We are changing his food starting this week, and with this we will also reconsider the serving size.

  14. Good morning all, Simka here barking that I hope all you Huskies and humans are staying healthy and taking care or others in these crazy times. It sure is sad to see summer end. For us in Maine it flew right by! Well, you would think we would be bummed out, but not so: So why are we outside this early in the morning going nutso in the backyard?? Well, it is the start of school season, and do you know what that means???? YUMMY NEW SCHOOL SNEAKERS!!!!! In fact, our Aunty Kristen stopped by on her way to school this morning and had on her feet some yummy yummy new purple leathe

  15. Good afternoon all! Simka here with a quick update. Well, as you can see me and GrizzLee have had an awesome afternoon: As soon as Aunty Kristen got home from school, we went absolutely nutso and trapped her on the couch and each claimed a yummy chewy Reebok. We turned into big hungry sneaker monsters and they immediately went right into our mouths. We growled and snorted as we slobbered and chewed on them hungrily. Eventually we wrestled them right off her feet! Unfortunately Aunty has to leave in a little while so we are going to eat them all up for dessert as

  16. Hard to say re weight as the pics aren't the best but if you Google dog body condition score that should help you , you should be able to feel the ribs but not be able to dip you fingers between each rib huskies have very sensitive stomachs and a straight swap with food will be causing loose stools , given his past he would have got used to just eating whatever he was given , a lot of sibes do better on a raw (barf) diet so that might be worth looking into Also have a look at 100ft dog leads on ebay aswell or a horse lunge line to let him have a run around safely
