he will be blowing his summer undercoat and his winter ones growing in, give it 5 months and you will be wishing it was november again. When he blows his winter coat you will know it, The joys of Husky Mal ownership hoover clogging amounts of fur deposited on the carpets. I do not say my husky is blowing until he lays down rolls around a bit, stands up leaving behind a white fur imprint stuck to the carpet. Tumbleweeds of fur rolling past 30 seconds after you have put the vacum away for the 3rd time that day. Spitting fur out of your morning coffee or picking clumps out of your oven, choosing your wardrobe to try and hide the strands of husky clining to your clothing. Guest remaining standing to avoid sitting and getting covered in fur, shoes with clumps of matted fur collected in the toes, scks that look like they have more fur on them than the dog. Washing machine filters needing cleaning every couple of days( at least most recently made ones have the filters easy to get at on the front and not like the old ones where you needed to pull them out take the back off to pull the large clump of matted fur out) They do not shed but emit strands of love

Thanks Robke - its just that as we are getting frosts regularly I thought his body clock should be saying 'grow undercoat' not 'blow it' - mind you I have hens just starting a moult now - and garden bushes flowering now that should have flowered in July !
