Yay! Harl only needs to go back to the vets now if we feel there's something wrong , she's on antibiotics for another week to be safe but that's it :) she can go back with her sisters now and I might finally get a full nights sleep! Lol

Aww, CONGRATS to HARLEY-Baby for getting a clean bill of health and being back with her SISTAs!!! Thank you God.
And CONGRATS to *YOU* for the A+ medical care & compassion you have given her through this long journey & all those sleepless nights ensuring she had around the clock care!! You're an awesome Mommy! You deserve a big cocktail & lots of naps!
*LOVE* all the precious photos!!
🤗

They said to give her the baytril we have left from bandit and see how she is over the weekend so I don't have to bring her down and pay the consultation fee as they'd just tell us that anyway

Yup it's an abscess , the side of her face all swelled up n she got a massive lump just in front of her ear so she had to go vets today to get it drained, picked her up (and Remi' s ashes) after work, she's gotta be separated for a few days n go back Wednesday for a check up

Nice clean incision I think she'll be fine it'll be getting cleaned out 3 times a day plus antibiotics twice a day she'll heal up in no time :)d6c09336084e6987a054fb5e9682be97.jpg

The vets seem fairly happy with how she's going, just gotta keep cleaning it up and giving her antibiotics for as long as she needs it , on her own for a couple more days too so a couple more nights on the sofa lol

I don't even really need to as she's not bothering it but I don't want her to feel completely alone lol

I love rats, such endearing, clever creatures. I used to follow a girl on eBay who kept rats, she had her own blog, it rather put me off as there seemed endless problems with the rats, lumps, abscesses, teeth needed filing, accidents, fights lol. She would lose one to something it seemed every few weeks. Rewarding but heartbreaking at the same time and not as easy as you’d think. How do you stop them breeding?

Never had to file teeth , only had one who needed claws clipping too, they can be prone to lumps sadly but they're usually easily removed , good breeding will go towards reducing problems plus diet etc just like dogs, they can also be neutered or spayed , some people do keep a mixed mischief but mine are all girls , I've never had a fight between them, they're really great pets
